WA-ACTE Summer Conference takes place August 6-9, 2017 in Spokane, Washington. The theme is “CTE…Fostering Success”. Amazing keynote speakers include Jimmy Casas, CEO, ConnectEDD, Raymond L. Conner, Vice Chairman, The Boeing Company and Dr. Gary E. Moore, Professor at North Carolina State University have been chosen for their support and accomplishments in Career & Technical Education.
As an Executive Board, WA-ACTE has put together a service project that will benefit the Spokane community this year. We wanted to find a way to “give back” to the area that hosted us this summer. After a long discussion, and research, we decided to put together a “Backpack for Kids” drive. The Salvation Army of Spokane has agreed to partner with WA-ACTE to make this happen. So….WA-CCER Members – her’s my challenge to you. When you come to summer conference in August, bring some school supplies to donate to the drive. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive – pencils, paper, composition notebooks, are all perfect. There will be a drop off location near the registration area in the Davenport Grant Hotel. You can also make a cash contribution at the WA-ACTE registration counter or donate a gift card from Office Depot, Fred Meyer, or Staples. Whatever method you choose, you are preparing a student for their first day of school.
Please use this link to register for WA-ACTE Summer Conference.
WA-CCER will have a table set up in the main hallway behind the registration desk. Please take a minute to stop by and say hello. We’d love to meet you personally.
