Washington Association for Career Counseling and Employment readiness (WA-CCER) is a subsection of the Washington Association for Career and Technical Education (WA-ACTE). To be eligible for membership in WACCER, you need to be engaged or interested in Career Choices, Work-Site Learning, Jobs for Washington Graduates (JWG), and/or Career Counseling and Career Readiness.
The purpose of the WACCER is to promote and recognize Career Choices and Work-Site Learning, Career and College Readiness, Jobs for Washington Graduates as integral and important to the total education program in the State of Washington; to work with other organizations to provide professional development in the alignment of CTE standards in programs through in-service activities; to pledge active assistance and support to all members of this organization.
If you teach any of these CTE programs, if you are a Career Counselor or a JWG specialist, this is the place for you. Join us as we learn together how to best assist students with that next step after high school – whether it’s post-secondary education or the workforce. We strive to have the answers!
